Experienced bookkeeper for accounting firm in local area. The ideal candidate will be well organized and comfortable with maintaining financial data for multiple clients. This individual will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable, monthly bank reconciliation, journal entries, filing monthly sales tax reports, preparation and filing of quarterly payroll reports and other bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate must be able to work individually using Thomson Reuters programs and with a team to handle multiple tasks. Also be able to correctly record data and produce financial statements.
Responsibilities
· Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, and yearly)
· Prepare and file sales tax and quarterly reports
· Bank reconciliation
· Preparation and filing of year end reports (W-2s and 1099s)
· Monitor accounts payable and receivable
Qualifications
· 3 years of experience
· Knowledge of financial statement formatting
· Knowledge of FICA tax and how to calculate it
· Proficient in Microsoft Office products
· Experience in Thomson Reuters Accounting CS is a plus
· Strong organizational and analytical skills
· Detail oriented
· Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
