Software Engineer

***This is a US based hybrid role that will work onsite in our Memphis, TN or Dallas, TX office 2 days/week***

Job Summary:
Join a Distribution Services Systems team where you will play a role in shaping the technological landscape of business operations. This position offers the opportunity to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications that directly support critical business requirements. You will be instrumental in writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs while researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the entire project lifecycle. This role demands a blend of technical expertise and collaborative spirit, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that drive business success.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with programmers, designers, and architects in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications while maintaining existing systems
- Analyze and assess existing business systems and procedures to identify areas for improvement
- Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software business requirements, deliverables, and specifications on a project-by-project basis
- Assist in defining software development project plans, including scoping, scheduling, and implementation
- Liaise with vendors for efficient implementation of software products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues
- Write, translate, and code software programs and applications according to specifications
- Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and performance of company applications as necessary
- Design, run, and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging
- Generate statistics and write reports for management and team members on the status of the programming process

Experience:
- Three to five years of professional software development experience
- Professional experience with Microsoft Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Visual Studio 2019 and 2022, .NET Core, C#, MVC, Microservices, REST API, and AWS Cloud
- Experience with front end technologies such as ReactJS, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap, and CSS
- Professional experience with SQL Server and SQL Reporting Services
- Experience working with developers and project managers along with knowledge of data mapping
- Experience working with many different file formats including XML, fixed width, and comma delimited
- Professional experience in VB.Net, ASP.Net, ADO.Net, VBScript, and IIS is preferred
- Experience in the Hospitality segment is highly preferred
- Professional experience with Jira, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Confluence is preferred
- AWS Certification is preferred
