Cook - Hilton McLean Tysons Corner

Our flagship property, Hilton McLean, is searching for a talented Cook to join their culinary team to support banquet and restaurant operations!

This well known, high profile hotel is located directly adjacent to Hilton's headquarters in the bustling area of Tyson's Corner in McLean, Virginia. The beautiful 458 room property, boasts over 27,000 square feet of elegant meeting space and two food and beverage outlets. Reliable transportation is a must as shifts will often end after Metro & Bus closures. This is a union position!

Ideal candidate will be a team player who is passionate, reliable, and has at least 2 years of solid culinary experience in hotel or similar upscale restaurant setting. Hotel background and experience in banquets/catering is highly preferred. 

 

Shift Pattern: This position will be overseeing AM and PM shifts. Full availability is required including weekends and holidays

Pay Rate: $24.99 per hour

What will I be doing?

 

• Prepare all food items according to recipe cards and correct handling procedures. Maintain highest quality and appearance of all foods sent from kitchen and make sure plates are clean and appetizing.
• Maintain proper pars of production levels according to estimates on the production sheets; maintain top quality freshness.
• Use leftovers and maintain proper storage of leftovers on hot food side. Label and date all food.
• Maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas. Make sure that all stations are properly cleaned at end of shift and at end of evening.
• Rotate all foods and correctly fill out production charts.
• During peak business periods, coordinate and expedite to accelerate service.
