Duties
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies to ensure a pristine environment
- Handle various cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, mops, and cleaning cloths to maintain floor care and overall sanitation standards
- Safely handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures to ensure safety for yourself and guests
- Perform heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies, adhering to manual handling safety protocols
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and other designated spaces by performing janitorial and industrial cleaning tasks
- Follow hotel emergency procedures to respond promptly and effectively to any incidents or safety concerns
- Document completed work accurately and report maintenance or safety issues to management promptly
Experience
- Previous hotel housekeeping experience or custodial/ janitorial experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, chemical handling, sanitation practices, and floor care techniques is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward guest interactions
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols ensures a secure environment for guests and staff
- Experience in industrial cleaning or hospitality management is a plus but not mandatory
