Essential Functions:

Education:
Any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to graduation from high school that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. High school diploma preferred.
Experience:
Prior Host Experience Preferred.

To take and organize reservations, greet and organize guests to tables in the restaurant. Maintain menu cleanliness. Maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the dining room to ensure guest satisfaction.
Essential Functions:
- Meets and greets guests as they arrive then escorts them to their table and assists with chairs. Sets menus on chargers and wishes guests an enjoyable evening.
- Maintains proper layout of dining room, reviews reservations for special needs, arranges floor plan, maintains cover count sheet, and seating distribution through Open Table to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Answers reservations calls accurately, recording these in the reservation book.
- Thanks guests and wish them a good evening.
- Communicates effectively with customers and staff in a high volume, fast-paced environment.

- Maintains an open line of communication between guests, management, and line employees.
- Perform other duties, as requested, such as cleaning and assisting with side duties.

- Knowledge of restaurant operations, to include appropriate staffing levels, service equipment, and guest relations.
- Ability to read the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders, and similar written materials.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to move throughout a crowded room to seat guests.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and to move quickly in a face pace environment.
- Ability to effectively deal with customer complaints and concerns in a friendly and positive manner. This involves listening to the nature of the concern, demonstrating empathy with the customer, and providing positive and proactive solutions.
Education:
