We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team and ensure exceptional service during events. The ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, and possess strong leadership skills to manage staff and coordinate banquet operations efficiently.
This is a part-time position.

Banquet Captain
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain to lead our banquet team and ensure exceptional service during events. The ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, and possess strong leadership skills to manage staff and coordinate banquet operations efficiently.
This is a part-time position.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (other Duties May Be Assigned)
- Lead and supervise banquet staff during events to ensure smooth operations and excellent guest service.
- Coordinate setup and breakdown of banquet rooms according to event specifications.
- Communicate effectively with event planners, kitchen staff, and management to ensure all event details are executed flawlessly.
- Manage and resolve any issues that arise during events promptly and professionally.
- Train and mentor banquet staff to maintain high standards of service.
- Maintain organized records of event details, staffing, and inventory.
- Adapt to changing event requirements and schedules with flexibility and a positive attitude.
- Flexible: Ability to adapt to varying event schedules and last-minute changes.
- Leader: Strong leadership skills to motivate and manage a team effectively.
- Organized: Excellent organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks and details simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience in banquet or event management preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Occasionally performing sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Constantly performing light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- Constantly performing medium work that includes moving objects up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally performing heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds or more.
- Occasionally exposed to cold temperatures (i.e. walk-in coolers and freezers).
- Occasionally exposed to high temperatures (i.e. kitchens and prep areas).
- Constantly exposed to noisy environments (i.e. music and noise from wedding receptions).
- Occasionally exposed to small and/or enclosed spaces.
