As our Guest Services Supervisor, you would be responsible for providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. The Supervisor will assist in the supervision and administration of Front Desk, Bellstaff, and Reservations operations in the hotel, continuing the effort to deliver outstanding guest service. Candidates must be able to work any shift, and days including weekends and holidays.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Encourages a team spirit amongst team members with leadership and guidance
- Communicates effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the team
- Assigns and instructs guest service, reservations, and bell staff in the details of work. Observes performance and encourages improvement
- Uses creative skills to solve problems. Ensures compliance with Hilton Service Standards to ensure consistent high-quality guest relations
- Supervise team through times of stress, and emergencies, resolve guest concerns and assists managers to implement resolutions by using discretion and solid judgment. Follows the Make it Right program
- Greets guests immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome, uses a positive and clear speaking voice, listens to and understand requests, issues, and situations from both guests and team members
- Meet and greet guests and respond to guest inquiries, requests, and issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner and resolves guest concerns
- Train all team members
- Ensure all team members have current knowledge of hotel products, services, facilities, events, pricing and policies and knowledge of the local area and events
- Assist the management team in all Front Desk operations to include, but not limited to, guest service and registration (check-in/check-out), room inventory and availability, guest service standards and initiatives, product quality, cost controls and overall profitability, marketing initiatives, systems
- Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
- Recruit, interview, and train team members
- Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
- Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by management

Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous work in a hotel supervisory capacity required
- Basic mathematical comprehension to understand and interpret numbers as they apply to operations in the hotel
Experience:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
- Ability to analyze information and make effective judgments
- Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex OnQ computer system.
- Working usage of Microsoft applications
- Ability to stand and move throughout the front desk and continuously perform essential job functions
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends, nights, and holidays…this is a MUST.
