Role Description
We are seeking part-time and full-time candidates for on-site roles for a Cook at Hilton Peachtree City Atlanta Hotel & Conference Center in Peachtree City, GA. The Cook will assist in preparing high-quality meals following established recipes and menu standards. Responsibilities include food preparation, adhering to food safety protocols, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Additional duties will include contributing to menu innovation and maintaining inventory of food supplies.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation techniques, including grilling, frying, sautéing, and baking (Preferred)
- Understanding of food safety standards, kitchen cleanliness, and inventory management
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work as a team member and an ability to communicate clearly and concisely with kitchen and wait staff
- Previous experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel kitchen is a plus
- Culinary certification is preferred but not required
Essential Functions:
· Plan the production, preparation and presentation of all food in the hotel in a safe, sanitary, cost effective manner.
· Monitor and maintain the maintenance/sanitation of kitchen, equipment and related areas to ensure a healthy, safe work environment which meets/exceeds federal, state, corporate and franchise standards and regulations.
· As directed, train new kitchen employees to perform culinary tasks as needed
· Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
· Assist in the preparation and cooking of various menu items for banquets and other Food & Beverage events as needed.
· Follow recipes and presentation specifications provided by the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Banquet Chef.
· Prepare menu ingredients, sauces, stocks, salads, and other food items as directed.
· Ensure all food is prepared fresh and to the highest quality standards.
· Organize kitchen supplies, storerooms, coolers and freezers as needed and directed.
· Monitor and maintain food safety standards throughout the preparation and cooking process.
· Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following proper sanitation protocols.
· Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen and equipment.
· Organize supplie and alert the Banquet Chef/F&B Manager, of shortages and needs.
· Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service during banquets.
· Communicate effectively with team members regarding food preparation and any special requests.
Hours Required:
Part-Time: 16-24 hours per workweek
Full-Time: Forty to fifty hours over a five-day period

· Position may require outside and/or community involvement at the request of the General Manager or Executive Chef which may then require working in extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Hearing/Vision/Speech:
· One-on-one communication with guests, supervisors, and line staff is critical
· Must be able to receive, understand, and give direction
· Must be able to hear all kitchen timers and alarms
· Must have excellent verbal and written skills
Chemicals/Agents:
Grease cutters, abrasive cleaners and basic kitchen cleaners and disinfectants will be used on a daily basis
Protective Clothing Type:
Basic kitchen apparel, including non-slip shoes and appropriate cook/chef outerwear may be required
Equipment Operation
Positions requires the efficient, frequent and daily use of knives, ovens, fryers, choppers, food processors and other basic kitchen utensils and equipment.
