What are the responsibilities and job description for the Steward/Dishwasher position at Hilton Palm Springs?
Hilton Palm Springs is looking for a professional, team oriented Steward (Dishwasher) to keep our kitchen immaculate and up to Hilton standards. The Steward (Dishwasher) will assist the kitchen Team Members with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our guest satisfaction goals.
Duties include, (but are not limited to) the following:
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Clean tableware. Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
- Sweep or scrub floors. Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards and refrigerators.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of supply/storage closets; remove trash, wipe down shelves/counters: clean floors: remove items which don’t belong and place in the correct areas.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas, including wares and equipment. Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated items, according to OSHA regulations.
- Stock kitchen lines with designated cleaned wares, utensils and equipment.
- Monitor and maintain usage of dishwasher machine and chemicals.
- Maintain cleanliness of employee cafeteria.
- Setup, breakdown and re-stock food in the employee cafeteria during meal periods, including transporting the food from the kitchen
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
The ideal Steward (Dishwasher) candidate will be an engaging, well organized team player and bring the following required, desired and optional assets to the company:
- High School Graduate or General education Degree (GED) preferred.
- Minimum 1 year Steward/Dishwasher experience preferred.
- Ability to perform duties accurately and thoroughly.
