AMI Meter Technician
Hilton Head PSD has an opening for a full-time AMI Meter Technician. The primary responsibility of this position is the timely and accurate changeout of water meters and associated Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) equipment, including reconnecting existing AMI endpoints and installing replacement AMI endpoints when necessary. The position will also troubleshoot meter and AMI endpoint communication issues, investigate missing reads that may affect customer billing, and perform related field work such as residential dual check replacement, meter box adjustments, locating buried meters, and minor excavation. Previous utility meter installation, changeout, maintenance, or troubleshooting experience is required to be considered for this position. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Experience with AMI metering systems is preferred.
