Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities maintenance, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to troubleshoot various systems. This role requires a proactive approach to maintaining equipment and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. The Maintenance Person will be responsible for performing repairs, conducting routine maintenance, and supervising projects as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLC) and ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding tasks as necessary for repairs and improvements.
- Interpret schematics to assist in diagnosing issues and implementing solutions.
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Provide leadership and supervision to maintenance staff during projects.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with staff or external vendors regarding maintenance needs.
- Assist with residential painting and other general maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in maintenance roles, particularly in manufacturing or facilities settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex systems.
- Electrical experience is essential, including familiarity with PLCs and ohmmeters.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred, showcasing leadership capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- A customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
