The Evening Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for hotel restaurant guests during evening service. This position ensures that food is prepared according to established recipes, presentation standards, food-safety requirements, and guest-service expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain the evening kitchen station before, during, and after service.
- Cook made to order food while maintaining consistent quality, taste and presentation
- Prepare ingredients, sauces, soups, appetizers, entrées, and other menu items for evening service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and hotel policies.
- Properly store, label, and rotate food products using FIFO procedures.
- Assist with preparation for the following day's service as directed.
- Help receive, organize, and maintain kitchen supplies when needed.
- Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel, catering operation, or commercial kitchen preferred.
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food-safety practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move kitchen supplies as required.
- Culinary education or food-safety certification is a plus.
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
