Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise all food and beverage service staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and performance management to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless shift management, timely food preparation, and excellent customer service.
- Manage inventory control processes, including ordering, stock rotation, waste reduction, and cost analysis to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and sanitation regulations across all dining areas and kitchen operations.
- Utilize Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, sales tracking, and reporting.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food production, presentation, and timely delivery to guests.
- Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, culinary techniques, customer service excellence, and safety procedures.
- Monitor budget adherence and assist in planning for staffing levels, menu offerings, and operational improvements.
- Foster a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality excellence and customer satisfaction in casual dining or fine dining settings.
- Support catering events, banquets, or special functions by managing logistics and ensuring top-tier service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within the food industry, particularly in quick service & fast food or casual dining restaurants.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management with culinary experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS along with cash handling expertise.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with a focus on team management and staff development.
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., HACCP) and sanitation practices essential for maintaining health regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills coupled with effective communication abilities.
- Experience in restaurant management roles including shift management, inventory control, budgeting, and training & development initiatives.
- Hospitality management background with hotel or catering experience considered an asset.
- Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
