Responsibilities
- Daily set up and clearing of breakfast buffet.
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive for breakfast service, providing attentive and friendly customer interactions.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system Agilysys, ensuring quick and correct processing of sales transactions.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, including coffee, juice, and other breakfast items, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests in accordance with food safety standards.
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks when needed, supporting kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process payments through POS systems, and provide correct change while maintaining excellent guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms for processing sales efficiently.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude and the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Ability to manage time effectively during busy breakfast hours while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations such as bussing, serving, food handling, sanitation practices, and guest relations enhances your fit for this role.
- Must be reliable and maintain open communication with management.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand, walk and bend for the duration of a 6-hour shift.
- Weekend availability.
