Hotel Breakfast Server part-time

Position: Breakfast Server

Pay: Starting at $16.00 Per Hour, Tips

Shifts are scheduled for weekdays 5:30am-11:00am and weekends 6:30am-12:00pm. There are also opportunities for banquet and catering events scheduled throughout the year.

Description: As a Breakfast Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials
• Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate point-of-sale system
• Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service
• Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations
• Ensure serving stations are well-stocked, cleaned and maintained at all times.
• Prepare standard breakfast set up per Hilton standards for our guests
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve meals and drinks
• Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
• Restock and replenish inventory and supplies
• Maintain a clean guest dining area at all times
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience

Minimum Job Requirements:

• 1-2 years prior restaurant and/or hotel service experience
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of all menu items and what accompanying items go with each menu item
• Process all guest checks through an approved payment process (credit card, room charge or cash)
• Must be able to speak and write fluent English
• The team member will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, kneel, bend and crouch.
• The team member must occasionally lift or move 50 pounds

Preferred Experience and Certifications, However Will Train the Right Candidate:

• NYS TIPS
• ServSafe
• CPR/AED and First Aid
• Agilysys
• Hilton PEP Experience
