Revel, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh Downtown is searching for a Kitchen Manager to lead their culinary team. Revel is a refined American restaurant located steps from Market Square and offers a casual dining menu, seasonal outdoor seating and handcrafted drinks. The Executive Kitchen Manager is also responsible for culinary in Roost, an elevated event space. The Kitchen Manager reports to the Food and Beverage Manager and oversees the daily culinary operations. Some of their duties include:
- Supervising kitchen staff and scheduling shifts
- Managing food preparation and quality standards
- Ordering and controlling inventory and supplies
- Ensuring food safety and sanitation compliance
- Monitoring food costs and reducing waste
- Training new kitchen employees
- Coordinating with front-of-house staff and management
- Maintaining kitchen equipment and organization
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to train others and lead a team.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Inventory and cost control.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Outstanding people skills
- Trustworthy and results-driven
- Must be available nights, weekends and/or holidays.
Education and Experience:
- Three or more years of progressive experience in a culinary supervisory role
