JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Night Auditor

REPORTS TO: General Manager DEPARTMENT: Front Desk

LOCATION: Hilton Garden Inn Longmont Co.

SUMMARY: Computes, records, and verifies numerical data for use in maintaining accounting records by performing the following duties:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Keeps accurate accounts of cash, checks, and credit transactions.

· Handles confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree of integrity.

· Makes daily deposits (as applicable).

· Verifies room charges and rates; verifies register has appropriate starting cash.

· Manages daily paperwork to be determined by management.

· Submits reports to corporate office as appropriate.

· Performs and documents security walks on a regular basis and communicates with on property security staff.

· Has a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and implementation of procedures.

· Assists in setting up breakfast area as directed; replenishes breakfast items as needed.

· Performs duties of a Guest Service Representative, review the Guest Service Representative job descriptions.

· May be required to serve as “Manager On Duty”.

· Completes laundry as directed.

· All other duties as assigned by management.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma; or 1-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual ability is a benefit.

Math Ability:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to make informed decisions in absence of management.

Computer Skills:

Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and property management system.

Certificates and Licenses:

No certifications needed. Any certifications a plus.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but may entail leadership responsibilities.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather); work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions and risk of electrical shock.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee is frequently required to work alone between the hours of 11pm and 7 am.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, and ability to distinguish colors.

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
