- The Hilton Garden Inn Mystic/Groton is hiring a Public Area Attendant (Houseman) responsible for assisting in guest room and public space operations of the hotel.
Responsibilities
- Engage with team members and guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Assist guests with any miscellaneous requests with a sense of urgency.
- Clean public spaces with attention to detail including dusting, mopping, vacuuming.
- Uphold the hotel’s and brand’s standards of operations and service score expectations.
- Complete various projects assigned by leadership.
- Assist with stripping rooms and trash removal.
- Stock supplies and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Act as a “runner”, delivering guest items, such as rollaway beds, towels and other amenities.
- Walk the property using a guest’s perspective to identify areas of opportunity.
- Report and/or actively addresses any cleanliness and maintenance concerns promptly.
- Assist in other departments as necessary.
- Attend and engage in team meetings.
Skills
- Be an outgoing and welcoming personality for the Hotel.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and frequently adjust accordingly.
- Stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Use hands to lift, carry or pull objects that may be heavy.
- Make decisions based on your own judgment and company policy
- Follow instructions without supervision.
- Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent stooping, kneeling, reaching and lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
Holidays and weekends required.
