Job Overview
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for keeping the restaurant facility, equipment, and grounds in safe, working order. This role ensures that all systems run smoothly, the environment is clean and welcoming, and any maintenance issues are addressed promptly to avoid disruptions to operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, and skilled in a variety of repair and upkeep tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance checks throughout the restaurant, including dining areas, kitchen, restrooms, and exterior.
- Respond quickly to repair requests from management or staff.
- Repair or replace equipment, fixtures, and furnishings as needed.
- Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair tasks.
- Perform preventive maintenance on restaurant equipment (e.g., ovens, refrigerators, HVAC units).
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work areas, tools, and storage spaces.
- Assist with upkeep of exterior areas such as sidewalks, signage, and parking lots.
- Work with outside contractors when specialized repairs are required.
- Document maintenance activities and communicate larger issues to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Skills & Qualifications
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Hands-on repair and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, bend, and perform manual tasks.
- Previous maintenance or handyman experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
- Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and on-call needs.

Pay: $8.00 - $12.00 per hour
