What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vinyl Specialist - 1st Shift position at Hilton Displays LLC?
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Vinyl Specialist is responsible for all aspects of vinyl sign production including printing, laminating, applying, and quality inspect prints to ensure it meets customer request and guarantees customer satisfaction. The Vinyl Specialist will be engaged in all aspects of the physical production of signs, which includes preparing substrates and applying vinyl and according to written instructions and under general direction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Set up vinyl printing equipment and prepare for specific print job demands.
2. Gather all materials needed for job demands depending on job order details and estimation.
3. Ensure vinyl prints are accurate and correlates to work order sheet specifications.
4. Apply vinyl graphics into signage phases according to work order instructions and dimensions.
5. Lay graphics into worktable to cut, laminate, and adjust prints in accordance.
6. Utilize measurement instruments to ensure accuracy and balanced coordinates prior and after application.
Job Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED required; advanced education degree preferred. Must be very detail oriented and ability to multi-task. Basic math skills (adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers and fractions and converting fractions to decimals and vice versa). Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Experience: Sign industry experience strongly preferred. Attention to detail a must. Be able to read a ruler. Able to work well under pressure to output high volume, high quality work. Able to work well with a team or unsupervised. Must have the flexibility to lean over a waist-high table and use back forth hand motions to apply vinyl letters and graphics to a substrate.
