The Hilton DFW Lakes has an outstanding opportunity for a professional, creative and seasoned Assistant Chief Engineer to assist in managing all aspects of engineering, maintenance and grounds.
As Assistant Chief Engineer, you'll help oversee and enhance all aspects of our property’s operations. Your expertise will be vital in managing maintenance, handling repairs, and implementing preventative measures. Your Role:
- Management and supervision of all building related systems, preventative maintenance programs and procedures
- Implement property and equipment preventive maintenance programs.
- Prioritize service requests; schedule and monitor the service performed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Review purchase requests and monitor expenses budget to ensure goals are met/exceeded.
- Assist in the administration of the department by preparing and maintaining schedules, logs, records and other documentation
- Supervise work orders.
- Monitor timeliness and quality of completion of repair work orders.
- Supervise Engineering and related areas in absence of the Director of Engineering.
- Assist in managing the physical plant including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical and life safety systems.
- Recommend or arrange for additional services such as painting, repair work .
- Supervise the day to day operations of Engineering, grounds and related departments.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of facilities to determine the type of work required.
- Maintain accurate logs and records as required.
- Provide emergency response services 24/7.
- Repair equipment (e.g., refrigeration, laundry) as necessary.
- Ensure all team members have the proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.
- Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
3 years management experience in engineering, maintenance, and grounds.
Hotel experience required.
Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to lead, direct and motivate the staff.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is a plus.
- Must be proficient with Windows operating systems.
- Must have valid driver’s license for applicable state and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
