The Hilton Des Moines Downtown is seeking an IT Support Technician to join the Team! This is a full-time, on-site position that will support users at this downtown location. $27.00/hr. Purpose:

This position is responsible for providing guests and users with a high degree of satisfaction, technical expertise, and timeliness of problem resolution. Strong service and effective communication skills are required along with a thorough understanding of desktop software and architecture, Audio Visual equipment, Telephony, and an understanding of networking.
Essential Functions:
- Provides hands on support and consultive advice to on-site users related to software applications, hardware, and network connectivity.
- Maintains a tracking system of all repairs, routine maintenance, and special service requests for all technology equipment.
- Responsible for performing Technology Services asset management and inventory of equipment and software.
- Works closely with property management to ensure smooth running of network and assists in helping maintain the site systems.
- Performs all installations, set-ups, and breakdown of Audio Visual, Communications, Networking, and IT equipment in Meeting Rooms, Guest Rooms and hotel work areas.
- Responsible for the Hilton Technology Network Administrator in compliance with HHC Standards.
- Coordinates upgrades and is responsible for the directory structure on network servers.
- Manages, performs diagnostic and corrective measure relative to performance of LAN and network servers.
- Manages shared technology resources.
- Collaborates with regional IT Cluster on large projects.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supportive Functions:

- Assists with other areas of Technology Services as required
- Support other departments and managers as needed
- Support hotel guests as needed
- May monitor functioning of equipment to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
