Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in refrigeration systems, particularly commercial refrigeration, and possess mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain various HVAC systems. This role involves field service work, requiring the technician to drive a work truck to client locations and perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on refrigeration equipment.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair refrigeration and HVAC systems.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Plumb and connect refrigeration lines as required for system installations.
- Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with clients during service calls.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate service records.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure efficient system layouts and installations.
- Stay updated on industry standards and safety regulations related to refrigeration.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Technician or in a similar field service role.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
- Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record for van driving responsibilities.
- Ability to plumb and connect various types of refrigeration lines effectively.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements.
- Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed for service calls, and to be on-call during certain weekends, as needed (with overtime and on-call pay).
