Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly in the back of house kitchen area
- Handle food items with care, following proper food safety and handling procedures
- Support the culinary team with basic cooking tasks, including ingredient prep and plating
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including dishwashing and equipment sanitation
- Manage inventory of coffee supplies, utensils, and ingredients to ensure availability during service hours
- Follow all food safety regulations and hygiene standards to uphold quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders for service
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of food handling, safety protocols, and kitchen sanitation practices
- Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, or fine dining environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food industry standards including catering, serving, and restaurant operations
- Excellent knife skills and ability to assist with meal preparation efficiently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience is a plus; willingness to learn is essential
