Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, ensuring high quality and presentation.
- Operate the Toast POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking orders accurately and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Utilize basic math skills to handle cash transactions and provide change accurately.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Adhere to food handling and safety standards at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a café or retail environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food handling practices is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and sales transactions.
- Experience using POS systems, particularly Aloha, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A passion for coffee culture and eagerness to learn about various brewing methods and beverage offerings.
