Dishwasher - Part Time

Job Overview

We're looking for someone awesome to join our team in an introductory role. No previous experience necessary, but must be able to work Mondays (8-3) and weekend nights, and be eager to learn.

Duties

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment as well as sinks to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
• Manually handle and organize dishes and kitchenware, ensuring proper stacking and storage for quick access.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic ingredient handling and setup.
• Follow strict sanitation protocols to uphold kitchen health and safety standards at all times.
• Ensure proper manual handling techniques are used when lifting heavy items to prevent injury.
• Maintain organization of dishwashing stations and report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.

Experience

• Previous food service experience or restaurant background is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
• Familiarity with food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous. Food Safety card for State of Hawaii is required.
• Experience operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers or related machinery is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic knife skills, food handling, and kitchen health standards will support your success in this role.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude are essential for thriving in this fast-paced environment.
