Description:
Under the general supervision of the school principal or designee and the oversight of the classroom teachers to which he/she is assigned, the instructional aide assists the teacher to present the instructional program, provides clerical assistance, and provides student supervision as needed.

General Duties:
- Assists in supervised study and instructional activities.
- Assists in the objective assessment and recording of student data necessary to the management system used.
- Prepares materials as directed.
- Assists in operational and room management tasks as required.
- Provides student supervision as assigned.
- Maintain records and reports as assigned.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pass local assessment of knowledge or 48 units or AA degree.
- Special Education Instructional Aides must be able to lift/carry 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
- Current Driver's License
- DOJ and FBI Background Clearances (at time of hire)
- TB (tuberculin) clearance (at time of hire)
- Completion of district mandated training (within 30 days of hire)
- Successfully complete related WorkSteps physical (if applicable, at time of hire)
