Description: Under the general supervision of the school principal or designee and the oversight of the school nurse, the health aide assists in providing health services to staff and students.
General Duties:
1. Under the supervision of the school nurse, provides health and medical assistance to students with specialized health problems.
2. Provides assistance to students with special health needs to receive the instructional program.
3. Assists in maintaining health records and reports as assigned.
4. Provides student supervision as assigned.
5. Assists the school nurse to help teachers and other staff to understand and work with health needs.
6. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Valid First Aid and C.P.R. Card.
3. Advanced health training or equivalent experience.
4. Must be able to lift/carry 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
