Job Description
Behavior Technicians (RBT)s assist individual students who exhibit severe behavioral challenges in and outside of the classroom setting under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst (BCBA). They assist in implementation of behavior plans and track data daily to provide necessary information for the purposes of monitoring and tracking progress for assigned student(s). Behavior technicians are responsible for providing behavior support for students with behavioral challenges in a variety of settings including special day class, resource specialist classroom and/or the general education classroom. They may be required to monitor and redirect student behaviors; support acquisition of appropriate skills and behaviors; deliver and perform a variety of related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
*One year of experience providing support services to children with behavioral and/or emotional needs
*Knowledge and experience in ABA treatment methodologies (i.e. Incidental teaching, Discrete Trial Training (DTT), or Pivotal Response Training)
*Associates degree or higher OR 48 semester units of college
*Registered Behavior Technician Certification, or willing to obtain and maintain Registration as Behavior Technician
*High School diploma (required)
