What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Technician position at Hillview Terrace Rehab Select?
Rehab Select at Hillview Terrace is currently looking for a Floor Tech. This individual would be responsible for keeping the building in a clean and well maintained condition. The Floor Tech will perform heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning the floors, stripping and waxing the floors, and shampooing the carpets.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read and write in a legible and understandable manner.
- Ability to read and follow the mixing instructions of chemicals.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the facility.
- Possess proficiency in the stripping and refinishing of floor tiles.
Job Duties
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to the floors.
- Mix water and detergents or chemicals in containers to prepare cleaning solutions to specifications.
- Steam clean or shampoo carpets.
- Notify the supervisor concerning the need for supplies and or equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by Director of Environmental Services.
