Hilltop Wealth Advisors is growing, and we’re looking for a servicing-focused Lead Advisor to join our team and directly support our CEO and President in delivering an elevated, world-class client experience. This advisor does not need to bring a book of business, but you should be able to close new business with existing clients and promote referrals. Typical responsibilities include:
- Focused support and second chair duties in client meetings with an ability to add value to the conversation while gathering data and action items for follow-up
- Coordinate with Senior Advisors in the development and preparation of clients’ financial plans, developing recommendations and solutions in the best interest of the client and ensuring those plans are executed
- Communicate with clients by understanding the needs, objectives, goals, concerns and translating those into an actionable and disciplined plan
- Coordinate with client’s other advisors (attorney, CPA, etc.) and other external sources to carry out the goals of client service
- Provide client follow-up and engagement with clients, pre and post meeting, as well as other needs and communications as they arise
- Prepare and communicate recommendations for client financial plans, including entering data and running reports using financial planning software
- Prepare and communicate recommendations on client investments
- Assist with client communications, such as the writing of newsletters and economic reports
- Delegate non-advisory follow-up work to client service team
Typical skills and knowledge requirements:
- Extensive experience advising high-net-worth families on comprehensive financial planning, investment strategies, estate, tax, cash flow planning, and philanthropy.
- Knowledge of investment advisory compliance and regulations
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, empathy, and listening)
- Demonstrates personal integrity and honesty
- Ability to deal with stress in an ever-changing investment market and financial transitions of clients
- Excellent time management and strong organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and anticipate potential problems
- Familiarity with tools such as, eMoney, Holistiplan, and Nitrogen.
- Proven ability to mentor, manage, and coach team members
Experience and Education requirements:
- 6-10 years of experience in financial advisory services, including client relationship management, business development, and wealth planning.
- A bachelor’s degree,
- Certified Financial Planner CFP®
- Series 65
- Desire to work directly with clients
- Ability to give recommendations to clients
- Strong self-leadership skills (i.e. emotional and mental health)
- Strong technology capabilities (i.e. learn to use software easily)
- Experience working with various custodial platforms
Job Type: Full-time, salaried non-exempt
Location: Based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. This position is primarily in-office, with some flexibility for work-from-home days.
Salary: Base: $110,000 – 175,000 up to $50k in bonuses.
