HilltopSecurities is looking to hire an Operations and Wealth Management Analyst Trainee. The Analyst will begin their career learning from and working with Operations, Financial Services, and/or Wealth Management professionals in learning the financial services industry by developing foundational knowledge in select business areas. In addition to learning the business, trainees are sponsored to obtain their SIE and Series licenses and may be part of a rotational program to learn other areas of the business.

About The Team
HilltopSecurities’ Wealth Management department values its relationship-based approach to serving clients. Through our Private Client Group, we provide highly customized sound financial planning across a range of investment objectives and products. Our Wealth Management professionals deliver a full suite of services for investors such as helping to build wealth, analyzing financial status and goals, advising on investment strategies, developing new business opportunities, and welcoming new clients. You will also be able to learn and deliver behavioral financial concepts to clients, forge relationships with community and business leaders, and learn from experienced financial professionals about how to fully support the individuals you serve. Our Clearing department supports more than 130 broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisors who provide institutional and financial services through industry experts. We aim to mitigate risk, realize competitive returns, and meet investing objectives. As one of the nation’s largest licensed broker-dealer clearing firms, we are focused on building long-term client relationships based on trust and personal service. As a part of our Wealth Management team, you will also be encouraged to take advantage of our professional development opportunities. Responsibilities
- Performs complex tasks & functions under moderate supervisions, adhering to department and industry guidelines.
- Handle non-routine activities/transactions by synthesizing multiple information sources and understanding their broader impact and multiple effects of transactions.
- Review and analyze work to drive to prompt resolution.
- Escalates risk-related issues to supervisors as needed.
- Develop a cross-functional understanding of all aspects of business and coverage as needed.
- Meet tight deadlines and comply with reporting, audit, and retention standards.
- Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by the manager.
- Participates as a team member in the creation and onboarding of broker dealer operational processes.
- Must successfully obtain SIE and Series 7 within 6 months of employment
- Builds foundational knowledge in wealth management products and solutions, advisor transitions and field sales support.
- Successfully obtain Series 7 and 66 licenses within 3 months of employment.
- Previous participant in our intern program preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of and strong interest in financial services and wealth management.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills.
- Excellent multitasking abilities, strong work ethic, and a positive attitude.
- Adaptive learner, initiative-taker, and adaptable team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools.
