- Underwrite and evaluate potential multifamily investment opportunities
- Review and update existing financial models relating to investment opportunities
- Perform financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and property valuations
- Track and maintain current investment portfolio statistics
- Research and evaluate economic, demographic, and real estate market data
- Conduct market surveys comparing rents, occupancies, and concession amounts among comparable properties in specific submarkets
- Support the ongoing efforts of Hilltop’s Fund and Acquisitions teams
- Assist in drafting and preparing Investment Committee memos
- Provide market-specific and asset-specific updates for investors
- Actively manage existing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Platform
- Assist in the organization and preparation of fundraising materials
- Prepare and maintain quarterly asset performance reports for existing Hilltop assets
- Support ad hoc reporting efforts, both internally and externally
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics, or related discipline from an accredited institution preferred
- Interest in commercial real estate
- Strong financial modeling skills with great attention to detail
- Excellent command of Microsoft Excel and Office products; database experience and/or additional programming skills a plus
- Self-starter, dependable, with excellent organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with other team members, hunger to learn, positive “can-do” attitude
- Creative problem-solving skills with ability to understand complex concepts
- Excellent organizational, time management and strategic planning skills
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral
- Willingness and ability to work with quick timelines
