Duties
- Greet guests warmly, take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as POS , and relay orders to kitchen staff efficiently.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card payments, and upselling additional menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Manage beverage service including cocktail preparation, wine knowledge application, spirits experience, and drink presentation in a fine dining or nightclub setting.
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices throughout your shift.
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas quickly for new guests, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide excellent guest services by addressing questions about menu items, offering recommendations for upselling opportunities, and fostering positive guest relations.
Experience
- Previous food service experience in restaurants or hospitality environments is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous for efficient transaction processing.
- Experience in fine dining settings or nightclubs with cocktail and spirits knowledge enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or transactions simultaneously while maintaining quality service.
- Knowledge of wine pairing, beverage service techniques, and food industry standards related to sanitation and food safety.
- Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service with excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, sales processing, and change calculation are essential.
