Open Dishwasher Position

Job Summary

Hilltop Jamaica Restaurant & Lounge is seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, ensuring proper sanitation standards, and assisting with general kitchen cleanup as needed. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a critical role in supporting the smooth operation of our restaurant and upholding our commitment to quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping, mopping, and removing trash as needed.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as required, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooking.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes for service.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support catering or banquet events by ensuring that all necessary items are clean and ready for service.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or catering environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with food handling and safety standards is a plus.
• Experience in food preparation or kitchen operations will be beneficial.
• A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment are essential.
