We’re hiring an Activity Director (Certified Activity Director) to lead our Life Enrichment program. This role directs the daily and monthly activities for our long-term care and short-term rehab residents, helping them stay socially connected, mentally engaged, and involved in the community.
Responsibilities
- Plan and run the monthly activity calendar
- Lead group programs: games, crafts, music, exercise, discussion groups, etc.
- Provide 1:1 engagement for residents who need individualized attention
- Organize holiday events, outings, and resident council meetings
- Complete required assessments, care-plan input, and progress notes
- Train and support activity assistants and volunteers
- Maintain attendance records and ensure compliance with state regulations
- Coordinate with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams
- Manage the activity supply budget and ordering
Qualifications
- Certified Activity Director (CAD) — required for this role
- Experience working in senior care, long-term care, or a similar setting preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Comfortable leading groups and interacting with residents with varying needs
- Ability to plan ahead, stay organized, and keep the calendar running smoothly
- Someone who brings steady energy, patience, and consistency to the department
Schedule & Pay
- Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts; occasional weekends/holidays
- Starting at $20/hour, higher with experience
