Activity Director - SNF (Certified/Uncertified)

Hillside Medical Lodge provides skilled nursing and post-hospital rehabilitation in a welcoming, lodge-style environment. Our residents enjoy thoughtfully designed common areas and an outdoor garden pergola that enhances daily life throughout the year. We are seeking an Activity Director to lead our Life Enrichment program and create meaningful experiences for long-term care and short-term rehab residents.

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and manage a comprehensive activity calendar including group programs such as games, crafts, music, exercise, and discussion groups
• Provide individualized engagement for residents with specific needs
• Plan and coordinate special events, holidays, outings, and resident council meetings
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and administrative teams to enhance resident care
• Maintain attendance records, documentation, and ensure compliance with state regulations
• Supervise, train, and support activity assistants and volunteers
• Manage activity program supplies and budget

Qualifications

• Certified Activity Director (CAD) preferred; candidates willing to earn certification will be considered
• Experience in senior care, long-term care, or rehabilitation settings preferred
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead groups and engage residents with varying abilities
• Dependable, patient, and professional with consistent energy and dedication

Schedule and Compensation

• Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts
• Occasional weekends and holidays as needed
• Starting at $20 per hour, with higher pay based on experience
