Work Schedule and Shift Premiums
Full Time (Days) 7:00 am to 7:00 pm | 36 hours/week, 3-12 hour shifts including every other or every third weekend
2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour; 3rd shift premium is $3.05/hour; weekend premium is an additional $2.00/hour

Qualifications
- Valid Michigan RN license
- Minimum of at least one year OB / Labor and Delivery experience
- BLS, ACLS, NRP and TEAMS certification (all are available through Hillsdale Hospital)
Responsibilities
- Taking vitals for the mom and baby
- Administering medication
- Monitoring contractions and coaching the mom during labor and delivery
- Identifying any complications during labor and delivery
- Communicating the mom’s condition and needs to the physician
- Caring for the mom after she gives birth
- Performing newborn testing and care
- Collect and analyze assessment data, identify appropriate nursing diagnosis lists, and create individualized plan of care
- Monitor patients’ conditions and maintain accurate, detailed and confidential reports and records
- Evaluate outcomes and adjust nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
- Participate in unit specific/hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance quality of nursing practices
