Work Schedule and Shift Premiums
Full Time | 40 hours/week including some weekend hours on a rotation | 8:30am - 5pm except on Fridays, 8:30am - 12pm.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required from an accredited institution
- Graduate of an accredited phlebotomy program preferred but not required. ASCP certification desirable
- Previous phlebotomy experience in healthcare setting preferred but not required
- BLS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)
Responsibilities
- Uses appropriate techniques and procedures to obtain blood samples by venipuncture and skin puncture. Instruct patients on proper collection procedures for urine collection, stool collection, and other miscellaneous collections
- Correctly labels all specimens and checks for quality
- Assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of patients
- Maintains laboratory operating procedures
- Orders and distributes supplies as needed along with notifying appropriate individual when supplies are low
- Specimens will need to be transported to Hillsdale Hospital at the end of their shift. Phlebotomists will be reimbursed for mileage
- Also performs receptionist duties at the front desk of the outpatient lab
