We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Teacher specializing in Elementary Related Arts to join our passionate team. In this role, you will inspire young learners through engaging lessons in arts-related subjects, support their overall development, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help cultivate creativity, literacy, and physical activity among elementary students. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards in related arts disciplines such as music, visual arts, drama, or physical education
- Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity, participation, and social-emotional growth
- Incorporate learning technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement and understanding
- Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing when applicable
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate related arts into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide activities
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and respectful learning space
- Support students with special needs or those requiring early intervention by adapting instructional approaches accordingly
- Mentor students individually or in small groups to provide targeted tutoring in literacy, math, or other core subjects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field; additional certification in elementary education preferred
- Proven classroom experience working with children in an educational setting, including private or public schools
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate teaching strategies
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessment tools such as standardized testing
- Familiarity with learning technology platforms and library services to support student research and literacy skills
- Expertise in teaching physical education, arts integration, or related arts disciplines within elementary education
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, staff, and community partners
- Knowledge of special education practices and working with individuals with autism or other exceptionalities is a plus
- Ability to manage classrooms confidently while maintaining a positive learning environment
