Position Overview
Provides patient evaluations, treatments, documentation and consultation for occupational therapy. Participates in facility committees to enhance the overall care of residents and state of the facility as needed/requested by department director. Assists with the supervision/development of Therapy Assistants and Aides. Responsibilities may include training and development of employees.
General Responsibilities
· Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions
· Ability to deal tactfully and maintain adequate liaison with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
· Ability to carry out treatment plans and maintain evaluations, files, and progress notes according to Federal, State, Local and department guidelines
Qualifications
· Requires Bachelor’s degree or greater in an accredited Occupational Therapy program
· Responsible to assure continuing education requirements and meet board regulations
· Must possess a current Occupational Therapy license in the State of NH
· Experience in geriatric Occupational Therapy setting preferred
