Human Resources Front Desk Coordinator

What You’ll Do

Welcome and assist visitors, answer phones, and manage day-to-day front-desk operations.

Coordinate conference room and meeting-space scheduling for HR staff and visitors.

Review, approve, and distribute HR correspondence, notifications, forms, and meeting minutes.

Maintain audit-ready HR files and documentation in line with records-management and confidentiality standards.

Support a seamless new-hire onboarding process for both internal and external candidates.

Interpret and relay HR policies and procedures, resolving routine inquiries or directing complex questions appropriately.

Compile, track, and analyze HR data—such as personnel actions, reports, and spreadsheets—to support decision-making.

Maintain confidential personnel files and assist with new-employee orientations.

Partner with senior HR staff on special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

What You Bring

High school diploma or GED.

At least two (2) years of office or clerical support experience , preferably in a Human Resources or customer service setting.

Solid understanding of general office practices and procedures; familiarity with HR policies and processes is a plus.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

Proven ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic office environment.

High level of discretion and reliability when handling sensitive and confidential information.

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook and comfort working with HR-related systems, databases, and office technology.

Physical Requirements

  • Employee will be located in an office environment, regularly required to sit and talk.

Work Category

  • Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

Emergency Management Responsibilities

In the event of an emergency or disaster, an employee may be required to respond promptly to duties and responsibilities as assigned by the employee’s department, the County’s Office of Emergency Management, or County Administration. Such assignments may be before, during or after the emergency/disaster.
