Hillsboro School District is urgently hiring a Temporary Language Arts Teacher (0.25 FTE) - Social Studies Teacher (0.25 FTE) for the Hillsboro Online Academy.
This is a unique opportunity to shape student success by delivering high-quality instruction both in-person and online.
The Role:
- Promote and develop successful learning for students as part of a cooperative team.
- Perform instructional and related duties in accordance with District policies.
- This is a temporary position on a 10-month calendar, starting immediately on November 24, 2025.
Required Qualifications:
- A valid State of Oregon Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- The ability to work effectively with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications (Make your application stand out!):
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills (fluency in reading, writing, and speaking).
- ESOL endorsement.
- Familiarity with Online Learning and systems like Synergy & Canvas.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The salary range for this position is $54,939 to $113,296 Per Year (Full-time range, prorated for 0.50 FTE).
- The District offers health insurance access, retirement benefits, and paid sick leave for eligible positions.
