- The Medical Progressive Care Unit is a 15-bed unit with a 1:3 Nurse to Patient ratio
- W ith this focus on patient centered care, you will have more bandwidth to provide a holistic care approach
- In our unit, you'll develop a broader nursing skill set and encounter a wider variety of cases compared to other units
- Our patient demographic is highly mixed and diverse
Main Responsibilities
- Participates in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team using effective communication and conflict management skills
- Uses a systematic process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation in delivery of care by collaborating with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team through care plans
- Adapts care to accommodate unexpected changes in patient status. Communicates patient needs and changes in condition to physician, team members and/or family as necessary
- Provides compassionate care for patients during challenging periods or transitions in life or lifecycles with respect and dignity
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon
- American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS
- ACLS certification required within 3 months of hire
- Experience in acute care nursing
