Duties
- Manage daily food cart operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of barbecue dishes.
- Supervise and train staff on food handling, safety standards, and customer service best practices.
- Oversee inventory control, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste using systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cart area in compliance with health regulations.
- Lead shift management by scheduling staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely service during busy hours.
- Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and addressing any concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision, preferably within quick service or fast food environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and inventory tracking.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training and team management.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic budgeting tasks.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers from diverse backgrounds.
