Hills Valley Transportation, better know as H & S Trucking is a family owned company that has been in business for 55 years here in the central valley. Our facilities are based in Orange Cove, CA. We do year round agricultural hauling throughout the state of California. We offer our drivers a variety of different types of hauling throughout the year as we move from one agricultural season to another.
We are currently hiring a local driver for a seasonal position. Start date, roughly August 10th through December 1st. This driver would be hauling agricultural commodities within the state of California, primarily in the Central Valley. This driver would be home every night, with no overnight loads. Responsibilities
- keep in good contact with the dispatcher and office
- conduct full pre-trip inspections
- Fill out a daily log sheet and turn in to the office on a regular basis
- Keep track of all loads and time worked on time sheets
- follow all safety regulations set in place by the company
- Operate vehicles safely, in accordance to state traffic laws
- Arrive to pick up and drop-off locations in a timely manner
- Be able to load and unload truck if needed, at times with pallet jacks or forklifts
- keep your assigned truck and any equipment you use clean to maintain a professional appearance
- ability to lift 50 pounds
Required Work Experience
- minimum 3 years experience with a class A
- At least 23 years of age
- DMV print out turned in with application (if done in person)
- Valid Medical certificate
- Valid Class A
- experience in agricultural hauling preferred'
