Part-Time Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Location: Dubuque, IA 52001
Organization: Hills amp; Dales
Schedule: Week 1- 3:00pm-9:00pm Monday, Wednesday, and Friday Week 2- 3:00pm-9:00pm Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. This schedule will also include every other holiday.
Hills amp; Dales is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team on a part-time basis. In this role, you will support the health and well-being of individuals served by administering medications and treatments, assisting nursing staff, monitoring health needs, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Document medication administration and resident care activities.
- Monitor medication and nursing supply inventories.
- Observe and report resident health concerns to nursing staff.
- Assist with direct resident support and accompany residents to appointments as needed.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance, confidentiality, and resident privacy.
- Support a safe, respectful, and person-centered environment.
- Iowa Certified Medication Aide certification (50 hour course required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mandatory Reporter certification (or ability to obtain).
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive agency vehicles preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and perform physical job duties as needed.
