Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated RN, LPN, or CMA to join our Nursing Department in a part-time capacity. This role is ideal for someone who values meaningful resident relationships, consistent scheduling, and a supportive care team.
Shift Option
- 5:00AM-5:00PM
- Every other weekend / every other holiday rotation requirement
CompensationDifferentials
RN Starting Wage: $34.13/hour
LPN Starting Wage: $27.70/hour
CMA Starting Wage: $20.25/hour
- Weekend (Sat/Sun): $3.00/hour
- Evenings (2PM-10PM): $2.00/hour
Pay is based on experience, education, and previous loyalty to HillsDales.

Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for All Applicants (RN/LPN/CMA):
Provide supportive and compassionate care to residents
Document care and communication per policy
Assist with transporting residents to appointments as needed
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Communicate effectively with care teams, families, and coworkers
Assist with general resident care and safety monitoring
RN/LPN Responsibilities:
Deliver preventive, restorative, and emergency nursing care
Monitor health changes and update care plans
Administer medications and treatments accurately
Respond promptly to health concerns or medical emergencies
Coordinate labs, pharmacy needs, and provider communication
Supervise Certified Medication Aides (CMAs)
Support direct care staff with training and guidance
CMA Responsibilities:
Administer medications accurately and safely
Document medication tasks promptly
Monitor and stock medication supplies
Report health concerns or medication errors to the nurse
Assist with basic resident care tasks
Prepare medication orders and maintain working knowledge of administered meds
Requirements
Current Iowa RN, LPN, or CMA certification
CPR certification (RN/LPN)
Ability to lift 35 lbs independently
Valid driver's license and ability to qualify as an approved driver
Free of a history of child or dependent adult abuse
