What we are looking for:
Dover Food Retail, Specialty Products offers a wide variety of career paths on which a creative and innovative individual can develop a successful career. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician II to ensure the daily, safe, efficient, and effective operations of all plant equipment and machinery in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Essential Competencies:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, test, and repair plant machinery and equipment to assure safe and efficient operation
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and HVAC
- Work with machine OEM and troubleshooting and repairing equipment
- Utilize a CMMS application to manage maintenance work order, repairs, and root cause analysis (ROC)
- Perform facility and equipment audits.
- Communicate technical information through use of written, oral documentation
- Ensure critical information is communicated at shift turnover
- Operate forklifts and company vehicle as required
- Support Lean initiatives 6S, Kanban, Standardized Work, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Kaizen
Minimum Quantifiable Competencies:
- High school diploma / GED
- Minimum (2-3) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Participate in "On call" Rotation
To be a great fit for the role:
- 2-year degree in industrial technology or 3 years' experience related to industrial electrical, industrial welding or industrial plumbing preferred
- Sheet Metal equipment knowledge; Laser, Turret and Press Brake
- Willingness to complete maintenance certification training.
