Duties

• Manage daily delivery schedules, ensuring timely dispatch and receipt of shipments using transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS)
• Supervise warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution activities
• Oversee fleet management, including dispatching drivers, maintaining vehicle maintenance schedules, and optimizing transportation planning for cost efficiency
• Implement process improvements utilizing lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste
• Coordinate procurement, purchasing, and materials management activities to support production planning and demand forecasting
• Monitor profit & loss statements to ensure budget adherence while identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost savings
• Lead a team of warehouse supervisors and staff, providing supervision, training, and performance evaluations in a safety-conscious environment
• Utilize ERP systems like AS400 for supply chain analytics, inventory control, and logistics data analysis to inform decision-making
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to forklift operation, freight handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and warehouse safety protocols
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners to streamline freight forwarding and shipping operations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse supervision or operations management within a logistics or supply chain environment
• Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400, and supply chain analytics tools
• Demonstrated ability in process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
• Experience managing freight operations including shipping & receiving, dispatching, fleet management, and inventory control
• Skilled in budgeting, demand planning, production planning, procurement, and purchasing processes
• Supervisory experience leading teams in fast-paced environments with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Proficiency in materials management software and transportation planning tools
• Ability to analyze supply chain data to optimize logistics strategies and improve overall operational performance
• Forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
